Slowing down the travel in Ireland
Tash and I are enjoying a slower pace of travel. We're staying with Tash's cousin, Evelyn, at her new apartment in Galway. Tash has been busy learning physics and chemistry (for fun), while I've been diving into SQL and working on some personal coding projects. We're also both learning German in preparation for moving to Munich next year. We're both enjoying some more intellectual stimulation for a change. We'll be here until the 28th of September, before visiting my cousin, Pia, in Paris, and then meeting up with my parents in Sicily.
Catching up on blog posts
Now that we have some real down time and I've got a new laptop (after my previous one was stolen in Portugal), I'm catching up on the blog posts. Just published our adventures in China, and next up is Japan - stay tuned!
Dancing the nights away in France
At the beginning of August, Tash and I met up with our friends at Gennetines for Le Grand Bal D'Europe - one of the biggest folk dancing events in the world! We volunteered at the Buvette (the bar), which was a challenge given we spoken extremely limited French, but we made it work! It was an amazing experience, although it certain threw our circadian rhythms out of whack - we were frequently going to bed around 3am, and that was considered early!
